We’re fortunate in Calgary in that we have a strong charitable community. So many people have devoted their time, effort and talent into helping other people that when you stop to think about it, is quite heartwarming.

We’re?merely facilitators in the grand scheme of things and are only too happy to place focus and aid towards the wonderful charities we’ve been able to help in the past year, such as Helping Families Handle Cancer, The Calgary Rainbow Society and most recently, The?Calgary Poppy Fund (Veteran’s Food Bank).

One of the big questions we face is ‘How can I nominate a charity to 100 Men Who Give A Damn Calgary?’ and the answer, much like the process, is very simple. There’s only one caveat, you have to be a member of 100 Men Who Give A Damn Calgary, and the reason for this is that if your nominated charity is chosen as one of three represented at a meeting, you make your reasons known why you believe in this charity.

This is what makes our organization so interesting. We don’t get the charities to come and tell us what they do and how they help the community, we want our members to stand before their fellow men and express from the heart what resonates with them.

So, with that in mind.
